FAQ

This page contains the Frequently Asked Questions about Cloud Testing Services.

Can I run my Selenium tests directly on your servers?

We offer a service in the cloud, rather than just ‘renting’ you the servers to use. We DO NOT give you access to our servers to interact with. There are other services that allow you to do this. Our service works by you uploading your script, and we then run it on your behalf. This not only saves you from having to manually run the test and save the results, but allows us to pass on our economies of scale to you.

Can you write the scripts for me?

As our Cloud Testing service is aimed at developers and testers, we expect that you should have the skills to do it yourself. You can record your script using Selenium IDE before uploading it. We are of course happy to provide help with the use of our service and portal. We have a network of script writers that we can put you in touch with if necessary.

With the Website Archiving service we write and maintain the scripts for you.

Can I log on to your servers to run the tests?

The simple answer is no. We have worked hard to eliminate the need for manual running of tests. We take care of all the scheduling, running of tests, collection and storage of screenshots, components, HTML etc., then present it to you in an easy to access way in the portal. If you need to manually run a test script, you can export it before running manually using Selenium IDE on your own PC.
