FAQ – Infrastructure

What are the IP adresses of your agents?

The IP addresses of the public agents can be found on the Service Status page within the Portal.

What is a Private Agent?
A Private Agent is where the hardware is provided by you, and our agent software is installed on it. This is usually located at your premesis, inside your firewall, giving access to internal systems that are not available to the Public Agents that are located on the internet.

What Operating Systems do you use for the testing?
We use Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003 as the primary Windows platforms. CentOS (5.2) is used for our internal Linux agents. Private Agents can be run on Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003, and Server 2008.

How man servers do you have?
As we offer a service, we will always make sufficient cloud agents available to meet the demand – that’s our business. Think of us as a utility like electricity – you don’t worry about how many power stations your supplier has, you just plug in and switch on.
